Introduction to Collage
Saturday, 9/26, 10-4pm Ages 16 and up are welcome Cost: $160 + $15 materials (all materials are included) Beginners and returners welcome! Join this workshop to explore collage and see if layering paper is your new creative outlet. With Chris's guidance, you will learn about collage assembly, design, and the mystery of collage papers. Chris will bring an assortment of collage papers- found, purchased, drawn, painted, and printed. You will watch short video tutorials and have one-on-one discussions with Chris as you work through this fun workshop.
Collage Paper-Making
Collage Paper-Making with Chris Watts $190.00 3 Mondays 5-7pm, 11/30-12/14 Ages 16 and up are welcome Cost: $175 + $15 materials (all materials are included) Discover the endless variety of papers collage artists use — and then make your own. Over three classes, we’ll explore where and how to source papers. You’ll create collage papers using drawing tools, paint mediums, acrylic markers, and printing techniques using the gel plate, along with stamping, stenciling, and botanical applications for unexpected effects. Walk away with paper-making secrets — and a beautiful stack of your own papers ready for your next collage. This is a course for all individuals at all levels interested in creating collage papers and exploring collage as an art form. I’ll be there to help you every step of the way.
